Bayley’s Test

The BAΥLEY III test is an evaluation tool used individually in order to assess the functionality of infants and young children between the ages of 1 and 42 months.

The primary aim of the test is to recognise (determine) children with developmental retardation and to supply information regarding the choice of the appropriate intervention method.

The BAΥLEY III test covers three basic areas:

•  Cognitive
• Language (including the internal and expressive language)
• and motor (including the gross and fine motor abilities).

Special interest is given to the socio-emotional scale and the adaptive social behaviour of the child, information which is given by the parents or the caretaker.
